NPR Alt-Latino is one of my favourite podcasts, as living in Spain, I like to educate myself about other Spanish speaking places too. Check out their playlist on Spotify:
RTVE (Radio y Televisión Española) is a great resource for practicing understanding Spain Spanish.
If you’re a beginner, I strongly recommend watching:
-kids programs (click here)
-shows you already know but are watching again in Spanish
-putting Spanish subs when you watch TV in your native language (Netflix is great for this)
Really interesting documentaries, and a great Spanish transcript if you want to go back and look words up.
Books to Consider Buying
In today’s world we are drowning in information. That’s why buying a book, or paying for a course, is still without doubt the most efficient way to learn. What you’re paying for is the careful selection of exactly what you need to know to advance.
I recommend this book to beginner/intermediate students of Spanish as a good reference to conjugations and other grammar points. However, I do use this as a base for my Grammar Hacks, so if you’re not a complete beginner, and/or you’re allergic to grammar, check out the Grammar Hacks section first.
Can’t recommend this series of books highly enough! Great grammar explanations, great exercises, well organised. Well worth the money!
